Cindy Cooke:  Hello, I'm Cindy Cooke. I'm a family nurse practitioner. I am honored to be one of the moderators for the "Practical Updates in Primary Care" presented by Consultant360 for 2021.

We are excited about primary care and how we can strengthen each of our practices in everyday world. It's so important for us to do that. Primary care, to me, is the most important spot. We meet patients where they are and then help them walk along their journey in their health.

This year, in 2021, the moderators are doing something a little different for the conference. There are four conferences this year. For each of the conferences, we have broken down expertise of the moderators to present case studies. I know that I learn much from case studies because I can often relate to those case studies with real‑world patients that I see in my clinic every day.

Dr Gaster is working on case studies for mental health. We all know how important that is in everyday life but especially in 2020 and 2021. We've seen an increase in that realm. I'm excited to hear that, for sure. Drs Levine and Golden are going to present a case study in a patient with obesity and how the many comorbidities can affect this going forward. Dr Golden and I are presenting a case on GI issues with IBS versus celiac since we see this all the time in our clinics each and every day.
