While there have been many advances in the treatment of attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the majority of adult patients with ADHD do not receive the appropriate diagnosis or treatment. In this video, Lenard A. Adler, MD, director of the Adult ADHD program at NYU School of Medicine, discusses the role of primary care doctors in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of adult patients with ADHD and the importance of identifying patients with comorbid conditions to improve the efficacy of treatment.
